OUT NOW: MIMO, “FEEL GOOD” (POWERKAT RECORDS) THE TRACK IS THE LATEST RELEASE FROM CLEVELAND-BASED DJ/PRODUCER, MIMO

NEW YORK, NY (December 13th, 2016) Real. Pure. Italian. MIMO is an electronic dance music DJ and producer who is thoroughly authentic. His passion for music is what drives him. MIMO’s “Feel Good” (Powerkat) is out now.

“Feel Good” is a seductively catchy house music tune with an abundance of commercial appeal. The vibe of the track is palpably luminous, conjuring images of liquid sunlight raining down from the skies, suspending all who hear it in a state of eternal summer. A mood-elevating, eye-opening tune packed with upbeat energy, “Feel Good” has a pulsating, warm bassline that comes on like a warm embrace. The renewed popularity of house music among the festival-going population sees a welcoming audience for tracks like “Feel Good,” and MIMO does his finest at stamping his signature sound on this piece. Squiggling synthesizers marry with a thick beat to yield a fully danceable track.

Based outside Cleveland, Ohio, MIMO (real name: Dominic Spitalieri) is an American dance music DJ and producer specializing in house music. MIMO’s original productions have won the support of global touring DJs/producers, including: Gareth Emery, Chuckie, Breathe Carolina, Shane 54, Shanahan, BRKYLN and others. MIMO was awarded “Best DJ” accolades for local Cleveland-based DJ/producers by Cleveland Scene magazine in 2016 and 2014. MIMO’s debut album, Generation, was released in 2015 and the effort shot to #12 on the iTunes “Top 200” electronic albums worldwide shortly after its release. That album was quickly followed by an EP titled, Impulse, which rocketed to the #5 position on Beatport’s “Top 100” new releases in progressive house and #16 overall in the summer of 2015. In early-2016, MIMO released his EP, The Year, which exploded at #2 on Beatport’s “Top 100” new releases in progressive house chart and peaked at #10 overall by summer 2016. As a live DJ, MIMO has performed in front of thrilled crowds at festivals including “Life In Color,” and he has opened for the likes of The Chainsmokers, Alesso, Steve Aoki, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Krewella, Sander van Doorn, Paul Oakenfold, Carnage and others. Trained as a musician and frequently playing piano and guitar on his own and others’ recordings, MIMO is a versatile artist. He is also adept at composing soul and jazz music and these influences dovetail together. Thoroughly well-versed in studio production and with a preference for Ableton Live, MIMO honed his live DJ skills with Dubspot Academy in Los Angeles and New York. The stage name MIMO derives from Spitalieri’s Italian heritage – his lineage harks from Sicily – “mimo” roughly translating to mean “little Dom” in Italian, a term of endearment. It’s an intrinsic sense of love and family that MIMO strives to convey through his music.
